You want something - it's there in a flash. You don't like something - and it's gone. Wouldn't that be wonderful? This is exactly what happens to the fisherman and his wife. A coveted butt, happy not to have ended up in the frying pan, returns the favor by making all the couple's wishes come true. They don't think twice about it. Finally out of the stinking hut, a nice little house is wished for. But as soon as you have what you want, you want what you don't have. It doesn't help that the fish makes them rich. Their wishes make them poor again.

Accompanied by recorder music from the Kreismusikschule Passau and embedded in the illustrated world of animated filmmaker Hans-Joachim Blach, the puppets show the audience what really makes us rich.
