Paris at the end of the 19th century was a bubbling cauldron of art and life. The city was the center of the world during the Belle Époque, all creative energy in literature, painting, theater and music flowed together here. And absinthe - the green fairy.
We tell the story of absinthe, its intoxication and its elegance, and we read aloud from world literature that arose from and with it.
With texts by Colette, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Edgar Allan Poe and Alfred Jarry, among others, accompanied musically by pieces by Eric Satie, Debussy and Chopin.
The actress Rebecca Stute is currently performing at the Landestheater Detmold, the actor Nils Willers at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and the Theater Ulm.
Neele Braun studies at the Detmold University of Music.
