Jason Robert Brown's musical jewel is a special treasure in the musical theater cosmos. This extraordinary chamber musical tells the love story of actress Cathy and writer Jamie in a uniquely touching and original way. Two people who meet, touch and let go again.
The highlight - they tell their multi-faceted story from different directions. Jamie looks ahead, starting with their first date. Cathy looks back on their time together. The narrative threads only meet once - at their wedding. While Jamie's career and life progresses further and further, Cathy increasingly treads water.
With great solo songs, touching duets and lively dialog, we are taken into the memories of two people who tell us their story of the last five years. The incomparable voices of Carolin Fortenbacher and Tim Grobe are made for Brown's songs.
