Since trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary won the "Discovery of the Year" award at the Victoires de la musique classique in 2016, she has performed as a solo artist with numerous renowned orchestras. However, the Frenchwoman attended classical and jazz classes at the renowned Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and made a name for herself in both genres from the very beginning. To this day, she is equally attached to both and says: "Sometimes I wake up and I want to play jazz and the other day I want to play classical music." For her, these are two musical languages that she grew up with and can express everything: "I love improvising and being free in jazz. That in turn helps me with classical music." You immediately believe Lucienne Renaudin Vary with the young and fresh sound of her trumpet and her delight in sophisticated improvisations. With a program ranging from jazz standards by Booker Little or Roy Hargove to the tango nuevo of Astor Piazzolla, the trumpeter is now giving her first concert in Germany with her jazz ensemble at the Musikfest - clear the stage!
