Curtain up for the presenter duo Pink and Cécile! In this modern reworking of the French folk tale, the two fairies tell their version of the love story between the beautiful Belle and the Beast, who is condemned to ugliness by a curse.

The story goes like this: one night, a man gets lost in a dark forest and seeks shelter in an abandoned castle. While trying to steal a rose for his daughter Belle, he is caught by a terribly disfigured creature, half man, half beast, who inhabits the huge castle all by himself. This beast only lets the man go on the promise that he will send his daughter to live with him in the castle. For only through the love of a girl can the Beast be transformed back into his true form. Belle and the Beast grow closer, and eventually she begins to realize what a gentle core lies within the hairy beast.

But it is anything but easy for the presenter duo to tell this story! Not only are they miraculously inextricably linked to the fairy tale, but to make matters worse, the theater management is now threatening to cancel their show - because fairy tales are simply no longer up to date! And they don't quite agree on the outcome of the fairy tale either ...

This wonderfully humorous reinterpretation of the classic, which has been filmed countless times, is this year's Christmas play for the whole family. It will once again be directed by actress and director Philine Bührer, who staged "Der satanarchäolügenialkohöllische Wunschpunsch" and previously "Bilder deiner großen Liebe" in Bamberg in the 2023/24 season.
