Die Vier Jahreszeiten

Concert by the Kammerakademie Potsdam with soloist Benjamin Günst
Dance: Oxymoron Dance Company in collaboration with Filip Markiewicz (Visual Art Performance)

In 1725, Antonio Vivaldi wrote what is probably his most famous piece - The Four Seasons op. 8 (Le quattro staggioni op. 8) for solo violin and orchestra. The composer impressively brings to life the babbling of a brook, gentle winds, thunderstorms, birdsong and even dogs barking, combining virtuoso gestures with rhythmic conciseness and lyrical intensity with varied orchestration.

The Kammerakademie Potsdam, the orchestra of the state capital, is looking forward to performing the work on October 3 together with the young violinist Benjamin Günst and the Oxymoron Dance Company in collaboration with visual artist Filip Markiewicz.
