The NRW Junior Ballet is celebrating its tenth anniversary this season.In 2014, the NRW Junior Ballet was founded to give young dancers theopportunity to gain professional and stage experience for two years following their professional training.

To mark the occasion, the young Israeli choreographer Nadav Zelner is bringing his new creation Drama Class to the stage of the Dortmund Opera House.

In his award-winning choreography Blushing, Marco Goecke explores our deepest emotions. In this work, the NRW Junior Ballet explores the question: what makes us blush? What holds us back? What boundaries must be overcome in order to accept the absurd as a challenge?

Within this evening, Saturn represents the work of Xin Peng Wang, who is particularly fond of this creation, which, as a reminiscence of the ballet Paradiso (Xin Peng Wang, 2021), recently aroused great enthusiasm in Tel Aviv. Saturn is now to symbolize the final chord of this anniversary celebration as well as a look back at his artistic work with Ballett Dortmund. The NRW Junior Ballet will be joined by the dancers of the main company for this third part of the evening.
