THE SOULS

In the organizer's words:

The Souls are a Swiss alternative rock band that was founded in Bern in 2010. The band consists of lead singer Jay Messerli, the two guitarists Luk Kipfer and Michael Finger, drummer Dominik Grossenbacher, bassist Rease Nydegger and Raly Scheuing on keys.

The origins of the band can be traced back to their school days, when they played together from a young age. During their musical career, the band played as support act for several big acts and performed at the biggest festivals in Switzerland. Their debut album Eyes Closed, released in 2016, reached number three in the Swiss charts. In addition to tours at home, in Ukraine and in several European countries, the band has also played concerts in Singapore and the USA.

After over 450 performances in the last decade, the band took a break. Their album Queenie Pop was largely written, recorded and produced by the band themselves. The album was released in fall 2020 and reached number 7 in the Swiss album charts. The album Too Good To Go was also produced and recorded entirely by the band themselves. It was released in March 2023 and reached number 9 in the Swiss album charts.

During their last tour, the band went to Eastcote Studios in London to work on another album with Andy Wright and Gavin Goldberg. After a month of intensive work, they produced another album that will soon see the light of day.
