Dr. Fritz Hagedorn can do a lot, but he's never been able to get a job. This time, too, his wealth of ideas only earns him the prize of a competition instead of the longed-for job at the Tobler Group in Berlin: a 14-day winter vacation including a New Year's Eve party at the posh Grandhotel Bruckbeuren in the mountains! Company boss Tobler, on the other hand, wants to see how people react to him when he turns up disguised as a poor wretch. But his housekeeper surreptitiously informs the hotel management that an anonymous millionaire is about to visit. On the spot, Hagedorn is promptly mistaken for the rich man, which lays the foundation for wonderful entanglements and the odd winter fling!
Commissioned by the Gärtnerplatztheater, the legendary chansonnier and musical cabaret artist Thomas Pigor transforms Erich Kästner's successful 1934 satirical novel into a whimsical, lively revue operetta - in the middle of the snow!
