DU (Norma)

You (Norma) by Philipp Löhle.

Six chapters from the life of a you, here called Norma. A you who is born as a girl, brought up as a girl and leads a life as a woman. An exaggerated, evil game with gender-conforming behavior patterns in a system that rewards gender-typical behavior.

Norma's courage and her rebellion against everything that doesn't suit her is swallowed up and rendered ineffective by the social system, virtually unimpressed. So she learns to conform to expectations. The system thanks her briefly and then drops her again.
