Ein Herz wird nicht dement! - Qualifizierungskurse für freiwillige Helferinnen

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference. The smile of a familiar face, a shared conversation, a helping hand - all of these can be like an anchor in a changing sea for people suffering from dementia. Everyday life with dementia is often full of uncertainties and moments of forgetfulness. But when someone is there to accompany you, the fog becomes a path that you walk together.

Like a tandem bike: two people sitting on the same bike, but working together to move forward. One may pedal a little harder, the other keeps their balance. But the goal is the same - to move forward, knowing that you can rely on each other. This idea of partnership, cooperation and trust is also behind our visitor service for people with dementia. We call it "Tandem" because that's exactly what it is: a shared journey through everyday life in which volunteers and people affected by dementia support and accompany each other.

To ensure that our tandem visitor service can continue to support as many people as possible, we are looking for committed volunteers who are willing to go on this journey with us. You don't have to be a professional - you just need to enjoy spending time with people, listening to them and shaping everyday life with them.
