Almost without exception, Kurt Weill's songs deal with a feeling that unites people throughout the ages: the longing - for happiness, a better life, a better world - is at the center of this evening.

Using a selection from Weill's rich oeuvre of songs, it is illuminated from all sides. Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes humorous. The Munich singer Brigitte Bayer takes you on a journey of discovery to this special place on the map of the human soul.
