Eine progressive Migrationspolitik als Chance für Wandel

In the organizer's words:

Germany is a country of immigration and relies heavily on the immigration of skilled workers. At the same time, many people are seeking protection from war and persecution here, which means that the fundamental right to asylum and humanitarian responsibility play a central role.

At the same time, right-wing extremist movements pose an increasing threat to society. The recent European elections and the state elections in Saxony, Thuringia and Brandenburg have made it clear that these forces pose a threat to democracy. It is of great importance to defend an open society, especially in light of the election of the new US President Trump.

In the current turbulent times, these challenges cause uncertainty and raise many questions, especially in the area of migration policy, which deeply affects society. Humanity and order must be considered together in this context in order to enable successful integration.

The event offers the opportunity to discuss these topics and ask questions.
