The Wallstein publishing house, which has published the anthology "Eine raffinierte Grenze aus Licht", describes Japanese poetry as "one of the most exciting literary landscapes of modernity". This does not refer to haikus or tankas, but to the lively world views of a younger generation of Japanese poets who are part of a completely different tradition. "This poetry is wild, passionate, imaginative, radical, strives for a self-responsible perception, very often comes from women and is refreshingly innovative," writes the publisher, and we are also wildly and passionately eager to discover it. All interested parties are cordially invited to talk to us about a selection of the texts in an informal atmosphere. This time we will be serving ramen and sake as culinary accompaniment.
