Who likes to call themselves lonely? The state of loneliness is shameful, hardly anyone likes to admit it. Loneliness blocks us, loneliness isolates us. Nobody wants it and nobody wants to hear about it. But loneliness is more than just a lack. According to Plato, it can become a place of dialog between the soul and itself, a place of thought. Is it therefore a necessary prerequisite for being together with oneself and with others?

Together with eight young actors, author Theresa Kleiner, choreographer Birgit Freitag and director Christiane Renziehausen explore facets of loneliness. What narratives are there about loneliness? And what stigmatization goes hand in hand with it? Using language and movement, they question a feeling that connects us all.
