ELEKTRIK LADYLAND enters its second round: musical highlight on June 21 at HOF in Düsseldorf

After the successful launch in spring, the ELEKTRIK LADYLAND concert series returns to the cult venue DER HOF on Ratinger Straße in Düsseldorf on June 21. This time, the talented artists ELA and MARISABELLE will take to the stage as double headliners. They will be supported by up-and-coming newcomer RIKA BENDER.

ELEKTRIK LADYLAND, initiated by the Düsseldorf-based k22 music label, has set itself the goal of creating specific performance opportunities for FLINTA artists. The concert series presents two established national artists as double headliners and offers a newcomer artist the chance to perform as support. With this concept, ELEKTRIK LADYLAND not only wants to promote female artists, but also re-establish Düsseldorf as a permanent fixture on the tour schedules of the German indie and pop scene. While most tour stops currently take place in Cologne, this series offers a welcome alternative and strengthens the local music scene in Düsseldorf.

MARISABELLE
Marisabelle brings true emotions to life with her dark pop universe without being cheesy. Her subtle lyrics come from her personal diary, in which she processes the sensory overload of the hectic world. In her songs, she touches on the themes of queerness and (friendship) relationships. Above all, she wants one thing: to be the safe space for her sweethearts that she never had herself.

ELA
Initially strongly influenced by trap, ELA's music has changed over time into a modern mix of dark wave and pop. Stylistically, she is oriented towards the 2000s and, in addition to Neue Deutsche Welle, post-punk and Soviet influences - after all, her parents emigrated from Russia to Germany shortly before she was born. Her songs are very introspective and deal with growing up in the big city as well as the merging of the cultures in which she grew up.

RIKA BENDER grabs the shiny synth-pop cannon and catapults us back into the dazzling eighties universe. Where the basses groove, the synthesizer melodies are addictive and the drum machine pumps an irresistible beat into our veins. A merciless fusion of yesterday and today. The sound is reminiscent of the great (synth) bands of the 80s - Talk Talk, OMD, the Pet Shop Boys or the Thompson Twins send their regards.
