DANCE GUESTSPIEL

Earth, fire, water and air are the inspiration for the new dance evening by the "Gauthier Dance // Dance Company" from Stuttgart. Eric Gauthier, the company's artistic director, has once again succeeded in recruiting four highly talented artists who will each choreograph one of the elements.

EARTH / SPIGHE

Mauro Bigonzetti, long-time collaborator of "Gauthier Dance", uses gravity to explore the feeling of connection with nature and questions our relationship with the earth in "Earth" - in his own powerful and highly musical dance aesthetic.

FIRE / ALONE

Sharon Eyal devotes herself to "fire" and evokes the associations and emotions that fire creates for her with minimalist movements that always characterize her choreographies: the fertile ashes, the igniting spark that creates something - a relationship, a feeling, a change.

WATER / ALMYRA

Andonis Foniadakis, who grew up in a coastal town in Crete, feels connected to water: this superficially peaceful, yet profoundly powerful and immeasurable element. In his choreography, the bodies become bodies of water, sometimes flowing calmly, sometimes powerfully, dynamically and unstoppably.

AIR / ETHER

Louise Lecavalier brought punk, physical strength and incredible speed to dance in the 80s. She has retained her non-conformity and wildness to this day. With "Luft", she creates a solo about the incessant human search for lightness and sublimity.
