As women, we have artistically researched the topic of "good enough" and "not good enough".
Because how can I feel free and good enough in our capitalist meritocracy?
"If all women loved their bodies as they are, our entire economic system would collapse within hours." - with these words, Laurie Penny hits a nerve of our time. When do you feel good enough? Free, happy, perfect? Beautiful? Without doubt, without judging yourself or letting outside judgments get too close to you? Simply alive, vibrant - completely yourself.
As women, Theresa Ihrler and Zoe Thurau have artistically researched the topic of "good enough" and "not good enough". In their exploration, the passionate dancers have both worked with personal experiences and questioned the political context. They looked at ideals of beauty and consumption. After all, how can you feel free and good enough in our capitalist meritocracy?
The dance theater group consists of young women who have been meeting every two weeks since September to work artistically on the topic of "good enough" or "not good enough". They all work in different professional fields, but share a passion for dance and acting.
