The world music ensemble Grandessa embarks on a musical journey across Europe and beyond its borders.
A broad musical spectrum and an exquisite selection of traditional and contemporary compositions are the hallmarks of the quintet led by guitarist and composer Henry Wolf.
Pure world music, in which guitar, violin, accordion, clarinet, double bass and percussion merge into a homogeneous unit and create a unique sound: unplugged, purely acoustic, true to style!
Grandessa's repertoire ranges from old jazz to gypsy swing à la Django Reinhardt, from south-eastern European folk to klezmer music, from valse musette and tango to chanson and international salon music, played with great sensitivity, elegant restraint and remarkable virtuosity. The program is complemented by her own compositions, which draw on the aforementioned styles and mix them vigorously. Grandessa is characterized by absolutely independent and very personal interpretations of pieces of music, wonderful improvisations and an original selection of music titles.

Grandessa's music is passionate and sentimental, heart-warming and captivating. If you close your eyes, you imagine yourself at a wedding in a shtetl, in a bar in Montmartre or in a Viennese café.
