ERIK COHEN, probably one of the most independent German-speaking rock musicians of recent years, brings together with seemingly playful ease what has become second nature to him through his musical socialization. He writes rock songs with palpable pleasure in gripping melodic arcs and passionate perseverance, which may be different in their approaches, but in the context of the album nevertheless result in an absolutely coherent overall picture that is also difficult to copy.

The likeable Kiel native has never been particularly concerned with sound pigeonholes and so the genre boundaries in his artistic world remain continuously open and fluid. Classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, alternative rock, punk and pop need not be mutually exclusive - on the contrary.

ERIK COHEN's stylistic range also makes for extremely entertaining concert evenings at a high entertainment level. The charming ramp sow has always known how to fill the stages he is given with individual life and, together with his band, regularly treats the audience to full-length sets covering his entire discography.
