He is a universal talent: the guitarist, singer and writer Anatol Regnier, born in 1945, grew up in St. Heinrich on Lake Starnberg and in Schwabing in the 1950s. The son of theater people Pamela Wedekind and Charles Regnier, grandson of Frank Wedekind, he first discovered music and published his first novel late in life: at the age of 52 ("Damals in Bolechów"). Since then, he has "stubbornly drilled his way through family history" in acclaimed books. His "Erinnerungen eines Taugenichts" (btb) is both an autobiography and an artist's novel - and a captivating portrait of the post-war period.
