As a married couple, ANNA LOOS and JAN JOSEF LIEFERS are a well-rehearsed team. On January 19, they will play the married couple Tom and Louise from Nick Hornby's "Nobody Said You Should Move Out" at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart.

In 2023, ANNA LOOS and JAN JOSEF LIEFERS took to the stage together for the first time. The program included a reading from Nick Hornby's "Nobody said you should move out". For married couple Tom and Louise, their long-standing marriage meant the world, which has now reached an impasse. With the help of therapy, they want to get closer to each other again and from now on meet in the pub opposite before every session. They try to find out what has been forgotten, repressed or concealed all these years. In emotional dialogs, they admit to hurts and neglect and try to regain trust with the help of open and respectful communication and mutual understanding. In the end, love remains.

The stage set consisting of a table and nine chairs is constantly transformed into new islands of conversation, representing a period of nine weeks of coming to terms with the past. Both actors argue, remain silent or embrace; sing and dance through the evening; skillfully use the entire stage area and, because it fits, also on chairs and tables. The softly sung "If I needed you", to which Jan Josef Liefers plays guitar, is touching.

With the incomparable humor of the author Hornby, including a look at likeable anti-heroes, Liefers and Loos play a completely normal married couple for over two hours, including a short intermission. From a reading, the two well-known and popular actors have created a moving production, which they now bring to life to frenetic applause from the audience.
