In 2017, 60,000 photo negatives were discovered in a Swedish bank safe. They came from the estate of South African photographer Ernest Cole, whose 1967 photo book "House of Bondage" showed the world the racist reality of the apartheid state. However, he was forgotten in the 1980s and died young. Raoul Peck (I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO) tells Cole's moving story with the help of his photographs and texts, which he wrote in exile in America and Sweden.
