Works from the Scenic Research Master's program

The third edition of Experimental Toppings, a cooperation between the Theater im Depot and the Master's degree course in Scenic Research at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, will take place from 24 - 25 January. At the end of the winter semester, the students will present research results, revivals and new productions from the past months. Using artistic research questions, they will engage in theatrical debates and question social and individual realities using a range of performative and aesthetic forms and formats.

You can expect an interactive installation dealing with order and disorder, an intensive one-on-one performance, participatory laboratory situations, a performative reading, several films on family themes such as inheritance and legacy, a musical installation and a drip installation.

The Master's course in Scenic Research was founded in 2012 by Prof. Dr. Sven Lindholm at the Institute of Theatre Studies and is funded by the Kunststiftung NRW, among others. Through its commitment, the foundation enables renowned international and regional artists to be invited as part of the Christoph Schlingensief guest professorship and lectureship and also supports students in their transition to professionalism through the Christoph Schlingensief Fellowship.

On Saturday (25.01.) we also want to celebrate the weekend with a party from our Arrow series.
