Japan, Germany 2024; 86'; OVD; DCP; FSK: 12; Director: Andreas Hartmann, MORI Arata; Screenplay and camera: Andreas Hartmann
Every year, thousands of people voluntarily disappear without a trace in Japan. Johatsu - "the evaporated" - is what they are called. They often use the help of professional agencies to disappear. They choose this route in order to start a new life elsewhere.
Directors Andreas Hartmann and MORI Arata present both the agencies and their clients as well as their motives in their German-Japanese co-production.
