This Bochum planetarium show invites you on a breathtaking journey through the cosmos, taking you from the Earth to the edge of the observable universe. The show demonstrates the unique possibilities of the new projection system in a particularly impressive way:
Fantastic flights and grandiose images show the universe as you have certainly never seen it before...
Our home, the Earth, appears like an oasis of life on the velvety black background of space. We visit Earth's siblings, the planets that orbit the sun together with Earth. We dive deep into the mighty canyons of Mars, the volcanic landscape of Jupiter's moon Io passes below us and we gaze in amazement at Saturn's ring system. Then we enter the realm of the stars. We get to know our neighboring stars up close and witness how our sun becomes a star among stars and soon disappears into the vastness of the Milky Way. We immerse ourselves in colorful gas nebulae, in the interior of which new stars are still being formed today, and pass through huge star cities, star clusters that were formed billions of years ago when the universe was still young. Finally, the entire starry spiral of the Milky Way lies before us. And it goes even further out: countless Milky Ways populate the universe, and our view reaches not only deep into space but also back almost to the beginning of time.
The exclusive soundtrack was composed and arranged by Tim Heinrich with the German Film Orchestra, Babelsberg.
