Faust has many faces these days, there are deals all over the place and the imperative "Stay a while!" is audible throughout the ages. Faust Gretchen Fraktur" is about theatrical alchemy, queuing at McDonalds and the tragic story of a man who tangles with forces he doesn't understand. 5 Gretchen collides with Heinrich, the infernal Gottschalk Mephisto with the grizzly man Timothy Treadwell and all together with the untouched and almost unearthly beauty of Alaskan nature. From there, Goethe's long poem "resounds, after the old fashion" amid great laughter and finds itself back in a high-vaulted, narrow Gothic room. It is one of 99 study rooms in which history is kept. An event behind every door. Click, scroll, run. Change of perspective. Faust is stopped in his tracks by Gretchen and pushed in other directions. "Will I say to the moment...". Stop! Restart.

Lorenz Nolting studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Bochum and directing at the Theaterakademie Hamburg. At the Thalia Theater, his work "Biathlon der Sehnsucht" was shown at the Körber Studio Junge Regie 2021 and as part of the theater marathon "Hymnen an die Nacht" 2022 he showed his production "Woyzeck - Das schärfste Messer Deutschlands".
