FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS

In the organizer's words:

We were just past Barstow, in the middle of the desert, when the drugs started to take effect. Nevada 1971: Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) races towards Las Vegas in his red convertible, accompanied by his lawyer Dr. Gonzo (Benicio del Toro). He is there to report on a car race in the desert for a magazine. But for both of them, the trip is much more than just a report. For them, the trip to Las Vegas is a journey into the wild heart of the United States, which has been shaken by the Vietnam War and various scandals, where they want to take the American dream by the horns and stare it in the ugly face. Equipped with every conceivable drug under the sun, they set off on their mission and don't let the hostile drug cops, the duty-conscious highway patrolmen, the arrogant hotel employees and the constantly recurring horror trips get them down.
