The FEIERWERK SESSIONS are a regular concert format for the not-so-loud sounds. Danceable indie vibes, atmospheric pop (rock), soulful singer-songwriters and even some hip-hop from the Munich newcomer scene await you in the cozy Orangehouse.
The next Feierwerk Sessions will take place on the following dates: Sat. 23.11.

LAMENE

Years and a few detours later, the Milla Song Slam 2024 confirms what the music director of the school project "Anna tanzt" already knew back then: "Marlene is a discovery". The music world should simply be her home, as the Milla audience confirmed after several rounds of selecting great musicians. Marlene makes it to the "final"!

But back to the beginning: after the initial spark of "Anna tanzt", she writes her own songs under the name LAMENE, initially in a quiet little room. This was followed by various band projects and a phase of musical and professional self-discovery. Because there is also this enthusiasm for the other creative, the creative. And so Marlene applies to the School of Communication Design in Munich and completes her vocational training there. This was followed by a creative semester in Vienna, then a fairly music-free period in Munich as a graphic designer at BR. There was no time for more than various loose band projects and music faded more and more into the background. Until a chance acquaintance with a good friend from the music academy brings Marlene back into the world of music and motivates her. He convinced her to apply to the JazzSchool in Munich, where she was accepted and has been studying singing since September 2023. Since this year, the LAMENE project is back.

Marlene performs at various events with her own songs and as a solo artist. This year, she founded the soul-blues duo "Babysteps" with a fellow student. It wasn't just this year that the girls from "Umme Block" became aware of LAMENE. They brought her to the Milla stage with their persuasive power, because LAMENE's songs about life and her own experiences with their always honest core, their vivid comparisons, in which the singer feels inspired by artists such as Angus & Julia Stone, John Mayer, Daniel Norgren, Nina Simone and above all Amy Winehouse, belong on stage. NANA FOREST

NANA FOREST 's music is not only touching and emotional, but also honest and authentic. Her sound moves between indie pop, singer/songwriter pop and alt Z: with every single she tries out her sound, always in search of a unique fusion of acoustic and electronic elements with intimate vocals. The half-French girl, who grew up in Munich, captures feelings that only music can describe in her emotional, yearning yet energetic songs: Her debut single "Show Me Your Scars" tells of the search for the person behind the façade, for the missing piece of the puzzle that only allows us to see the big picture. She sings about this feeling of knowing that there is something hidden. About this scar that shapes us. "Daydream" is about escaping from everyday life into a daydream full of memories of a bittersweet, long-forgotten moment.

Her lyrics are inspired by her own experiences, but she does not reveal the true stories behind them in the songs. Her melodies and lyrics become stories that listeners can identify with and find their own interpretation of. With her first two singles, she has already collected over 60,000 streams on Spotify and made a remarkable impression.

With her new single"Farben", NANA FOREST is breaking new ground by singing in German for the first time and dealing with the topic of toxic relationships (supported by the MUNICH MUSIC BOOSTER of the Feierwerk Fachstelle Pop - made possible by funding from the Cultural Department of the City of Munich).

SOPHIA WOLZ

As one of the "leading voices - jazz voices in Munich" (Jörg Seewald, music journalist), newcomer SOPHIA WOLZ stands for the union of tender soul ballads and hooky pop riffs. The singer and music teacher has been presenting her own music since 2022 and released her debut album in 2024. The melancholic, experimental and poetic compositions, performed on the electric piano with different sounds, take the listener on an intimate and dreamy journey of their own human development.
