Gigolo Tears is Germany's queer indie pop hopeful. Gigolo Tears stands for soft emotions wrapped in empowerment pop. This could already be admired on the EP "Crybaby", which was released on the Audiolith label in 2023. In 2019, Chris Schalko founded the solo project Gigolo Tears to put an end to anger and embrace softness instead. Years as a female-read artist in the music industry have made Schalko angry. But that should be over with Gigolo Tears. Feminist rage gave way to soft empowerment with funky guitar licks. After Gigolo Tears released their debut EP on Audiolith in 2023, including the hit single "Cramps", this path will be continued in 2024. It remains to be seen whether, in addition to new softcore indie hits, the anger will return to Gigolo Tears' music.

Put some respect on my name! I ain't got no cash, I ain't got no fame is blasting loudly from the speakers - but what Tigrrez Punch has in abundance is plenty of queer-feminist power, fuck-off attitude and exceptional talent. Between rrrrriot trap, pop and punk, Tigrrez Punch from Bielefeld not only love to break genre boundaries, they also regularly break the shackles of the patriarchy. The invariably infectious vibe moves between angry punchlines, laid-back flows and danceable club hits - sometimes aggressive, sometimes soft. The musical genre clash with political aspirations provides a wildly flashing ray of hope in the gloomy, cis-male dominated rap landscape and the songs feel like the eighth of March at the bumper cars. Tigrrez Punch's tracks are banging, but in a sweet way - and develop into a veritable explosion of energetic stage presence, collective demolition and entertaining crowd control at live shows - cotton candy mosh pit included! This has already been impressively demonstrated at notorious venues such as Fusion, c/o pop Festival and KLP Wendland.
