Wet nightmares tour

Annika Brockschmidt and Rebekka Endler read bad romance novels so you don't have to - that was the motto of our podcast, which was launched very spontaneously and actually as a joke on April 1, 2021. Now, after almost 2 years, the description should be more correct: Annika and Rebekka consume quirky media of all kinds and analyze it for added social value so that you can laugh and suffer along with them. Romance novels were just the beginning, now series and films have been added, as well as non-fiction books and interviews with public figures - anything that triggers a need to talk. All too often, we come across works that are supposedly trivial or harmless, but on closer analysis are bastions of highly problematic theses, such as the recent bestseller Alte Weise Männer by Nena Brockhaus and Franca Lehfeldt, which is why our analysis took a whole 23 hours (9 episodes) and countless fits of laughter and anger.

Feminist Shelf Control is our coping strategy for media and culture and in addition to sound expertise, we hope to bring a little light and laughter into the chaos together. It's about sex, love, feminism, fascism, history, friendships and, surprisingly often, animals. We're not revealing the theme for our live show just yet, just this much: it will be an audio-visual rollercoaster ride of emotions and a reunion with old friends from the show.
