In the organizer's words:

Whether student or senior citizen, handbike or racing bike, local or traveler: Every day, tens of thousands of people maneuver their bikes through Cologne's traffic jungle. Some are experienced, many feel unsafe. We at Velonia e.V. want toempower cyclists to take a closer look at their bikes and their environment. That's why we dedicate an entire day to them. At our"FEST in the saddle", we want to bring cyclists together across generations and cultures. And in the fall, because the colder seasons in particular inhibit many fair-weather cyclists.

No registration required, all free of charge! We invite you to join us for a collective bike wash & wrenching session - bring your own bike. We listen to Gerhard's bike journey from the 80s & make bike flags with the little bike stars. We treat ourselves to treats from the barbecue & refreshing drinks. And there are even prizes to be won! 14-18 DIY bike workshop

14-18: Bike Wash

14-18: Craft corner for children

16-17: Gerhard's bike trip from the 80s (lecture)

17-19: Barbecue

18-19: Tombola

The Cologne bike scene will be upside down for a day! Because we want to connect cyclists & interested people of all stripes to spread the kölsche Radjeföhl & sensitize people for bikes. After all, everyone should sit firmly in the saddle & thus contribute to decarbonized mobility.
