Festival de Chôro München 2025

In the organizer's words:

Choro is the older brother of samba and is not only played and celebrated throughout Brazil, but also in many other parts of the world. It demands great virtuosity on its typical instruments and percussion and harmoniously combines the roots of scholarly music with popular music.

With the Festival de Chôro 2025, Munich will become the European capital of choro for the fourth time: The LUISE cultural center will offer concerts, lectures, workshops* for young and old as well as Rodas de Choro and Brazilian food.

*Active workshop participants should be able to play an instrument.
