Every mother loves her child. Or does she? What if this feeling - which is supposed to be the most natural thing in the world - just won't happen? What does it mean not to be able to give motherly love - and not to receive it? The myth of the innate maternal instinct has long been disproved. But it remains powerful. In the production BEI SCHLECHTWETTER BLEIBEN EIDECHSEN ZU HAUSE, based on the award-winning novel of the same name by Nadine Kegele, the Fiege / Giese label addresses the taboo of confessing regret for having brought a child into the world. In a dialog with herself, the main character Nora confronts the question of which social norms and dogmas have shaped her. And whether there is an escape from this world of ideas. The play merges the present and the past, blending memory and reality. It is about violence and aggression that were implanted in childhood. And about the desire for healing.
