Come to FILMFEST HAMBURG and experience the captivating debut JULIE BLEIBT STILL

Julie trains at a Belgian tennis academy and is considered a promising talent. When her coach Jérémy is accused of unusual methods and suspended, an investigation begins. The players are asked to testify, but Julie remains silent and continues to train undeterred.

A captivating debut that subtly tells of power and control and gives an insight into the inner life of a young sportswoman.

LEONARDO VAN DIJL (*1991 in Belgium) is an author and director. He began his career as an editor at Vice Magazine. His short film Stephanie (2020) screened in Cannes, among others. Julie bleibt still is his feature film debut.

FILMFEST HAMBURG takes place from September 26 to October 5, 2024. Over 120 productions from all over the world will be shown as world, European, German or Hamburg premieres.
