Come to FILMFEST HAMBURG and celebrate Queens of Drama

Glitter, chaos and eccentricity: the queer pop-punk musical is a pulsating declaration of love to cinema. In 2005, Mimi Madamour, a hip pop idol, embarks on a fleeting and heated romance with punk icon Billie Kohler. But it's not just their impulsive love-hate relationship that throws their lives into turmoil - their uncontrollable desire for fame and the limelight also forces them to confront the tyranny of show business. Soon they both embark on a path of self-destruction and overnight become the symbol of an entire generation. They are a duo that unleashes the crowds: the Queens of Drama.

ALEXIS LANGLOIS (*1989 in France) won the Silver Leopard and the Grand Prix of the Young Jury in Locarno 2021 with the short film Les Démons de Dorothy . Queens of Drama is Langloi's first feature film.

FILMFEST HAMBURG takes place from September 26 to October 5, 2024. Over 120 productions from all over the world will be shown as world, European, German or Hamburg premieres.
