DAS ESSZIMMER - Raum für Kunst+ cordially invites you to the finissage of the exhibition Rymdprogrammet (The Space Program): Refectorium. - A curatorial collaboration with Molekyl Galery, Malmö/SE.

Rymdprogrammet focuses on experimenting with diverse forms of expression and themes that enable synergies between the invited artists.

For Rymdprogrammet: Refectorium, the participating artists Anna Hillbom, Oscar Häggström, Christine Manderla, Timo Menke, Johan Sandström, Dan Schyman and Désirée Burenstrand Schyman have placed the word reficio / refectory with all its meanings and connotations at the center of their exhibition developed for Das ESSZIMMER.

The term refectory is derived from the Latin reficere: to make new or to restore, and so the late Latin refectorium was a place where one went to be restored or to recover. Today, it primarily refers to the dining hall of a monastery or boarding school. However, the term also has other meanings: to restore, repair, refit or make strong again (the body or mind), revitalize, refresh, revive, recruit, restore.

The group exhibition, which can be understood as a space of restoration or recovery, can be seen until Friday 20.12.2024.
