Finnischer Abend

In the organizer's words:

Happy like the Finns ...

On this summer evening, a little piece of Finland will be brought to you in Munich. Why are the Finns the happiest people on earth for the 7th time in a row? We'll try to shed some light on it for you.

The Finnish folk dance group "Heijakat" will perform samples from the Finnish dance tradition.

The duo JAZZANGO, Tuija Komi vocals and Vlad Cojocaru accordion, will sing and play Finnish tango, the "blues of the Finns" as the famous Finnish cult director Aki Kaurismäki called it. Jazz and world music round off the duo's exciting program.

Are the Finns crazy? That's what you'll probably think when rubber boots fly through the Bavarian sky: Rubber boot tossing, a humorous Finnish "sporting art". Anyone can take part in the Mölkky throwing game.
