By Ines Müller-Braunschweig | World premiere
A musical painting. With the help of just a few elements, the stage is transformed into a river landscape in which a family of ducks or a school of fish can be discovered. Actress Katja Bramm and musician Simon Bodensiek captivate the young audience in a sensitive and irresistible way. In the atmosphere created by the two, even a small shower that pours onto a pile of stones becomes a theatrical event.
As author and director, Ines Müller-Braunschweig brought her experience from many works for very young audiences (she developed and directed "Geschichten vom kleinen König" and "Die Schmusekönigin" at the Theater der Jungen Welt) to this unusual theatrical experience, which is about nothing less than the joy of creating and discovering ever new worlds. Stones, clay, water and music - these are the elements of the sensual universe that develops on an area of just a few square meters. What was just a pile of stones is now an island landscape with a river or a giant fish in the sea. And if, like our player and our musician, you hear and see with the eyes and ears of little world explorers, at some point even stones begin to sing.
"Fische & Süßer Brei" was invited to the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen in May 2016 and was already shown at the "Kijimuna Festival" in Okinawa (Japan) in 2011
