Luca Kieser was born in Tübingen in 1992. He studied philosophy and language arts in Heidelberg, Leipzig and Vienna, where he now lives. His awards include the Wortmeldungen Förderpreis, the Lyrik-Lichtungen-Stipendium and the FM4 Wortlaut. His debut novel "Weil da war etwas im Wasser" was on the ORF bestseller listthree times in a row and was nominated for the German Book Prize 2023. "Pink Elephant" is his second novel, from which he will read on the evening. In his multi-faceted coming of age novel "Pink Elephant", Luca Kieser writes about friendship and belonging, but also exclusion, racism and white privilege.
