On the occasion of the publication of the new book on research theater and in cooperation with the EU project SENSE. The New European Roadmap to STEAM Education | Info at: sense-steam.eu

Did you know that there are still far too few girls and women across Europe who are interested in science? In contrast, there are still far more women than men working in children's theater and cultural education. Is this perhaps also due to the way the arts and sciences are taught? Could we change this division of the world if we combined the arts and sciences more closely?

We have been doing this in the Research Theater for some time, but now we are connected with many other institutions across Europe, for example with the Louvre in Paris. This program is called SENSE, and it stands for combining art, science and our senses.

That's what this research workshop is all about, to which we invite teachers, artists, researchers and students. Here we want to try out and develop activities in which performance art and science come together. At the same time, we will take a trip into the history of research theater, go on a space trip and search for wonders, visit the Academy of Destruction and think about living together with other species.

Registration is required for the two-day research workshop (with Ulrike Bergermann and Lydia Schulze-Heuling, among others).

On the morning of November 8, there will also be space for a school class from grades 4 to 6. Would you like to build four robots with us and map an alien planet with their help?
