Understanding Bavaria for beginners and advanced learners: In her book, award-winning cabaret artist Franziska Wanninger provides a witty insight into the depths of Bavaria, its people, who first need to be understood, and its language, which needs to be explained.

Because even among the natives there are sometimes communication difficulties. How is a "Preiß" supposed to understand what makes people in the Free State tick? The more than 200 pages are therefore not only helpful as a guide for newcomers and tourists, but also as a kind of bridge between Upper and Lower Bavaria, (Old) Swabia and Franconia.

One thing is certain: Bavaria is not just Seehofer, Dirndl and bread dumplings. Wanninger shows what makes her country and its people tick, digs up the almost forgotten treasures of the Bavarian language, takes the audience on an exciting walk through Bavarian history and geography and dissects all the clichés like a chicken at the Oktoberfest.

The reading will be accompanied musically by Florian Burgmayr, who has made a name for himself as a stage musician and composer for many years.
