Since dropping their self-titled debut in 2012, Freak Heat Waves (Mood Hut) from Victoria, Canada, have been an ever-evolving musical force, delivering a steady output that defies easy categorization.

Honed and expanded through their travels, Ak'chamel's singular sound comprising desert-scorched psychedelia, post-apocalyptic shamanism, and bizarre ritual folk is as unique as the physical theater of their otherworldly live performances. Often known to many as The Giver of Illness (Akupohne).
