Frederick - Mäusegeschichten

Frederick, an extraordinary mouse, sits contentedly in his quiet corner, surrounded by the most beautiful nature. Frederick doesn't care about the hustle and bustle of his fellow mice. While the other mice work diligently to collect grains, nuts, corn and straw as supplies for the winter, Frederick sits there peacefully, absorbed in his world. The others can't understand why Frederick spends his days doing nothing. What they don't suspect: Frederick also collects - colors, words and sunbeams. And when the community of mice is confronted with the cold and gray challenges of the seemingly endless winter, Frederick's great hour arrives.

Leo Lionni has created a poetic story about the power of creativity and the value of differences. Frederick asks whether we have the courage to sing our own melody, even when the world around us seems to pulsate to a rhythmic beat.
