Following the successful start of the cooperation between the MOVE! festival (28 Sep to 9 Nov at Fabrik Heeder in Krefeld) and Düsseldorf's FREIRAUM last year, "MOVE!_extended" is entering a second round and is once again inviting an artistic position from the festival program to an open workshop offering at FREIRAUM. After the approximately two-and-a-half-hour workshop with choreographer Michelle Moura, the evening will end as usual with a dinner together and will also include (optionally) a joint performance of "Lessons for Cadaver" at the festival on the following Saturday, October 12 at 8 pm as a "Salon Special".

Information about the workshop: In her workshop, Berlin choreographer and dancer Michelle Moura, who is a guest in this year's edition of MOVE! with her work "Lessons for Cadavers", explores together with the participants the relationships that everyone has with the living. The starting point is the idea that we are not alone within ourselves. In this way, the Brazilian-born artist invites those present to enter into reciprocal relationships between different types of being and existence. After a brief introduction and biographical context to Michelle's work, which has been shown internationally in institutions and festivals such as Impulstanz Wien, La Biennale di Venezia or HAU-Hebbel am Ufer, participants are invited to move in groups, where physical contact may or may not take place. Playfully, imaginatively and rhythmically, they will work together on principles of (re)connection and confluence.

The workshop language is English; previous knowledge of dance is an advantage, but not necessary for participation. The joint performance of "Lessons for Cadavers" (optional) at a reduced admission price of €7.50 will take place on Saturday, October 12, 8 pm, at Fabrik Heeder in Krefeld.
