Frieden ist die einzige Option

"How much more blood must be shed before we realize that peace is our only option?" - was David Grossman's appeal at the Munich Security Conference to do everything in our power for peace in the Middle East. Time and again, David Grossman has tried to depolarize Israelis and Palestinians, to free them from the attributions of being enemies and opponents and to put an end to the war in people's minds. A concern that seems more urgent than ever since October 7.

His new book warns urgently against the escalation of violence and advocates a two-state solution. The battle between those who sow despair and hatred and those who want to lead a dignified life must be ended on both sides.

The event is a cooperation between the Literaturhaus München and the Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism as part of the "Understanding Our Time" series.
