Peace Steps is an intense dance performance by Babak Radmehr, inspired by his personal experiences in the Iran-Iraq war. In an act of resistance against the ban on dance in his home country of Iran, Radmehr places dance at the center and powerfully combines Persian-Oriental and contemporary dance elements.

The dancers' dynamic, rhythmic movements embody the emotional wounds of war that run through the body and mark a path to healing. Step by step, traces emerge that symbolize hope and peace. Peace Steps is an impressive invitation to experience the power of dance as an expression of the desire for peace.
