The Futur 2 Festival not only boasts a top-class line-up and a diverse supporting program, but also impresses with its energy self-sufficient organization and sustainable concepts. With renewable energy generation on site and innovative ideas, the festival offers great music and conveys a direct experience and understanding of sustainability.
In the organizer's words:
On May 24 + 25, 2024, the Futur 2 Festival will take place for the fourth time at Elbpark Entenwerder. Up to 5,000 visitors came to the Elbe in the last editions and together they proved that sustainability and fun go very well together. This is because the Futur 2 Festival is completely energy self-sufficient - meaning that all the electricity for the festival is generated on-site from renewable sources. This is achieved on the one hand via various solar systems and on the other via the muscle power of the audience. They have to generate electricity for one of the stages on bicycles with a generator in the rear wheel - this is not only fun but also makes it possible to "experience" the value of electricity first hand.
The rest of the festival is also organized sustainably: from the waste (avoidance) concept, catering and reusable food to sustainable travel and logistics.
This year's festival will once again feature numerous live acts, DJs and a supporting program focusing on sustainability and climate protection.
