GAME MUSIC COMPOSER CONCERTS is a new concert series in Cologne, hosted by Uli Sigg and Bob Humid, presenting composers and producers of game music as immersive live performances. One artist, one evening. The subsequent artist talk and meet & greet will provide insights into the technical and creative process.

This PREQUEL event for the new concert series is also the record release for Patric's brand new vinyl LP Video Game Music, featuring his tracks for the game BattleBlock Theater by legendary Californian indie game makers The Behemoth (San Diego).

Patric Catani began his musical career ripping Commodore C64 video game music in the early 80's home computer days. In 1992, as a 16 year old, he produced gabba and breakbeat tracks on the Amiga 500 in his childhood bedroom under the name E de Cologne and in 1993 was asked by Mouse on Mars for the exclusive Vulvaland remixes on 10" vinyl. After various Cosmic Orgasm raves and a Europe-wide buzz, he moved to Berlin in 1995 and founded the band EC8OR with Gina V. D'Orio, whose albums were released on DHR and the Beastie Boys ' legendary Grand Royal label. He perfected his already distinctive 8-bit sound in the fictional video game soundtrack The Horrible Plans of Flex Busterman, one of the first C64 tribute albums ever. He steadily expanded his field, producing many of the Puppetmastaz' hits, several songs on the Chilly Gonzales album The Entertainist and Angie Reed's first album. As Candie Hank, he took our hearts by storm and with ILL TILL & Xberg Dhirty6 Cru, he stirred up the German hip hop scene (both projects were released on sonig Köln). For some time now he has been composing for theater, film and games, - he made the music for the play Elementarteilchen at the Stadttheater Freiburg and embodied Michel Houellebecq himself on stage. He mixed and co-produced the first record of the Hamburg band Fraktus [Studio Braun], and his affinity for games and 8-bit music, which is present in all his productions, and his love for video games, have finally ensured that he is now involved as a composer in the third game by the video game developer The Behemoth from San Diego, delighting millions of players on Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Playstation.
