The Museumsquartier is a building with a long tradition. 2024 marks the 145th anniversary of the founding of the "Museum zu Osnabrück". It owes its character as an art museum to its collection of "Old Masters". In 1884, valuable permanent loans from the "Royal Prussian Museums in Berlin" laid the first solid foundations. Since 1912, the museum has stood on its own two feet with the foundation of the "Gustav Stüve Collection".
